Main topics

01

culture

Culture is one of my natural topics, because Kutná Hora has huge potential in this area. As a guide, I also see every day how important a role culture and historic heritage play for our town. That's why one of our priorities is the repair and gradual modernisation of the Lorec cultural centre, which should be a dignified venue for the cultural and social life of Kutná Hora. I'd also like to support cultural events and activities that make Kutná Hora a lively town, not just for tourists but above all for its residents.

02

transport

Transport must above all be accessible and practical for everyday life. I consider it important to support public transport and gradually make it more attractive for citizens. That's why one of the priorities is introducing free fares for students and seniors. The point is for public transport to be an accessible alternative to the car, and at the same time for people who depend more on public transport to be able to use it comfortably. But it's also important to keep working on parking, road safety and the overall condition of the roads.

03

sport

I see sport above all as an important part of life for children and young people. Thanks to my background in education and my experience from sports and outdoor courses, this topic is close to me. I think the town should create good conditions for sports clubs, support work with children and young people and gradually modernise sports infrastructure. Because sport isn't just about top performance, it's mainly about a healthy lifestyle, community and the chance to spend your free time actively.

A few words about me

My name is Michal, I'm 20 and I've lived in Kutná Hora my whole life. I graduated from Gymnázium a Střední odborná škola pedagogická in Čáslav, in the pedagogical lyceum programme. I'm currently studying at university in Hradec Králové.

Alongside my university studies I run a business and also work as a guide at the Vlašský Dvůr and as a guide to our beautiful town. I've also gained experience at other castles and chateaux, as well as abroad, where I worked in Sweden as a tour representative. Thanks to this work, I get to bring visitors closer to the history and possible significance of monuments from the Middle Ages, but also from the present day, which deepens my interest in culture and public life even more.

I'm also actively involved in what's happening in our town as a member of the Heritage Conservation Committee. I believe it's important to protect the historic heritage of Kutná Hora while also creating the conditions for its modern and sustainable development.

I'm entering local politics with the aim of bringing new energy, open communication and a drive to move things forward. I'm convinced that the young generation can also bring new ideas and constructive solutions. Kutná Hora is a town with an exceptional history and huge potential, and I'd like to help make it an even better place to live for all its residents.
