We're a bunch of people under thirty who decided not to let this year's local elections slide. No money from parties, no ads, in our free time. And that free time is running out pretty fast. So if you're up for it, get in touch.
Four years ago, roughly a quarter of young people turned out for the local elections. The rest let people with an average age of 48 decide about their rent, their tram home and their siblings' nursery school. We think that's a shame. Not because young people know everything better, but because if you don't show up, nobody's going to ask you.
So we started NEZÁJEM. We write about how elections work, introduce young candidates and in September we're holding debates in the regional cities. Most of it happens on Instagram, and that's exactly where we need help the most.
You don't need any experience in politics. It helps if you already make stuff for social media, even if it's just for yourself.
What's in it for you? Not money, we'll say that up front. But a real project for your CV, a reference, and a team of people from all over the country who you'll then meet at the debates. Most of the work is in September and the first week of October, then things calm down.
It doesn't have to be an essay. A few sentences so we know who you are, and we'll get back to you.
Not a fan of forms? Write straight to zajem@nezajem.cz. And if you're running yourself, this questionnaire is for you.
