Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Nezájem, z. s. processes the personal data of website visitors and of persons who register their candidacy via the web form.

Note: Article 1 does not yet include the identification number (IČO) and registered office of the association Nezájem, z. s. — this document will be supplemented as soon as these details are available.

Article 1. Controller of personal data

The controller of personal data is: Nezájem, z. s., [identification number (IČO) and registered office – to be added].

(hereinafter the “controller”)

Article 2. Data processed

Through the forms on the website, we may process the following personal data:

Data on political affiliation constitute a special category of personal data under Article 9 GDPR, and we process such data only on the basis of your explicit consent.

Article 3. Purpose of processing

We process personal data for the purposes of:

Article 4. Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for processing is:

You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Article 5. Processors of personal data

For the technical operation of forms, record-keeping and email communication, we use the following processors of personal data:

The processors have their registered offices in the USA, and personal data may therefore be transferred to a third country. Such transfers are safeguarded in accordance with Article 45 et seq. of the GDPR (through the approved EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework mechanism or, where applicable, standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission). The publication of data on the website itself means that the general public (website visitors) has access to the data.

Article 5a. Email communication

If you register for a debate, we will send you a confirmation and information about the debate (for example, a reminder of the date and venue) and – if you have given your consent – news about the Nezájem project. We send candidates information related to their candidacy and their involvement in the project (for example, confirmation of their registration or a link to the election calculator).

Every bulk email contains an unsubscribe link; you can also unsubscribe by emailing zajem@nezajem.cz. We keep a record of which emails we sent to whom and when, and whether they were delivered, so that we do not send messages repeatedly and so that we respect unsubscribe requests. We do not track whether you opened an email or clicked on a link.

Article 5b. Website traffic measurement

We measure website traffic using Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia; data are stored on servers in the EU – data policy). Plausible does not use cookies or any other identifiers stored on your device, does not track you across websites and does not retain your IP address or any other personal data. We only see aggregate statistics: how many people visited the website, which pages they viewed, where they came from, what type of device and browser they used and whether they submitted any of the forms (not their content). Such measurement does not require your consent, which is why the website does not display a cookie banner.

Article 6. Retention period

We retain personal data for the duration of the project or until you withdraw your consent, but no longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose of their processing.

Article 7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, as a data subject you have the right:

Article 8. Contact

If you wish to exercise any of your rights or withdraw the consent you have given, please contact us by email at: zajem@nezajem.cz.

Article 9. Data security

We protect personal data by appropriate technical and organisational measures. The transfer of data via the web form is secured by an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only team members who need the data for their work have access to the data in the internal system, and only the project leadership has access to the data of those registered for debates and to sent emails.

This policy may be updated from time to time in the event of changes in legal or technical conditions.
