IT and AI in city administration

When we want to order something online today — food, shoes, a car service repair or a slot at the barber shop — it's done in a few clicks. I think the town's services should work the same way. I want to keep improving the new town website, modernise booking systems for appointments at the town office or at municipal sports facilities, and above all have everything in one place. I don't want a revolution, but gradual evolution — coming up with working solutions that save people time and nerves. The long-term goal is a working mobile app in which you book an appointment at the town office, reserve a sports facility, find an overview of cultural events — and don't forget to pay, say, for your bins.

tourism

In Kutná Hora we have hundreds of thousands of tourists a year — they're drawn here not only by the ossuary and St Barbara's, but by the whole historic centre. But it often happens that they arrive by bus in the morning and go home in the afternoon. That's a shame, because Kutná Hora and its surroundings offer much more than you can manage in one morning. So I'd like to establish cooperation between the town and good local businesses — café owners, hoteliers, restaurant owners. As a town we could help them present their services and include them, for example, in an interactive map of the town in the mobile app. Anyone can find a business's location on Google, but I believe that an interesting form of presentation directly from the town can be an advantage and make it easier for tourists to find their way to local places.

03

young people

With young people it's simple — we want to keep them (and I admit, myself too) in Kutná Hora. So we have to work hard on the things that otherwise pull them elsewhere: they need somewhere to live, somewhere to have fun, and they simply need to like it here. I'd like to get involved in this directly — for example by being active in setting up a “youth council”. That would be a group that the town's leadership would meet regularly to talk about ideas that can move Kutná Hora forward. Young people know best what they're missing here — you just have to ask them and take it seriously.

A few words about me

I'm Jirka – a 29-year-old IT project manager and owner of the travel agency Travelendo. I was born in Kutná Hora, went to school here, started my first full-time job here and I really love it here.

I'm close to local politics. I'm currently a member of the council's audit committee and I'm running for ODS in 4th place on the Naše Kutná Hora list.

In my business I work in two fields that seem different at first glance - tourism and IT. But I like combining them and use IT to improve, simplify or automate my tourism business.

I'd like to do the same in Kutná Hora. To be able to connect modern IT technologies with how the town actually works today, and make everyday life simpler for the people of Kutná Hora - from dealing with the town office to being informed about what's going on in town. I believe digitalisation is the right way at the municipal level too.
