01

safety

Safety is key for a thriving city district with satisfied citizens. Although safety in Prague 3 has been improving over the long term, it must remain a priority. Conditions for the municipal police need to be improved systematically. We also need to work on developing the city camera system, which is proving to be an effective solution but is still missing in many important locations. When it comes to drug problems and homelessness, among other things, prevention needs to come first and solutions need to be coordinated across Prague. A situation where city districts try to push this problem beyond their borders and don't deal with it any further is not the right approach.

02

sport

Sport and good-quality leisure activities are key to the health and satisfaction of the district's citizens. Prague 3 can be proud to be home to many successful athletes and sports clubs. But that mustn't make us complacent, which is why we're investing massively in sport. The athletics track at ZŠ Jeseniova is being renovated, we've opened a new skatepark at Pražačka, and the renovation of the Viktorka Žižkov stadium is ahead of us. It's clear that sport is a priority for us, and not just in the run-up to the elections. What I'm personally proud of is the Trenéři do škol project, in which we send coaches from local clubs into schools to teach during PE lessons. As a member of the sports commission, I was there at the start of the cooperation with the VŠE hockey club, and it was great to see little kids skating enthusiastically alongside our athletes.

03

International cooperation

International cooperation and municipalities. It may seem that these things don't go together, but the opposite is true. Just like anywhere else, sharing experience and good practice is key. Cities across Europe face similar problems and have often already found successful solutions or come up with interesting new projects. As vice-president of the Youth of the European People's Party, I have friends and contacts across Europe. Many of them are local councillors, so I'd like to make use of this network. I also want to focus on partner municipalities. Many municipalities in the Czech Republic have partner municipalities abroad. There is a rich cultural, sporting and economic exchange between them. Prague 3 still lacks such cooperation. I think the time has come for the Free Republic of Žižkov to enter the field of international relations too.

A few words about me

I'm 26 and I've been interested in public affairs for a long time. Already at secondary school I organised political debates, and my interest in politics has stayed with me to this day. I've done many internships in the political world, including at the European Parliament, and I currently work as an adviser to the chair of the Committee for Security and Crime Prevention of ZHMP. I was born in Prague 3 and have lived here my whole life. Prague 3 has grown close to my heart and is an important part of my life. That's exactly why I decided to run. I want to build on the work we at TOPka have been doing at the town hall in recent years. Besides municipal politics, international politics is also a hobby of mine. I've long served as international secretary of TOP tým, and recently I had the honour of being elected vice-president of the Youth of the European People's Party (YEPP). Thanks to that, I draw on experience from the leadership of the largest youth political organisation in Europe. I want Prague 3 to continue to be a special place to live with a soul of its own, to develop but not forget those who have lived here all their lives, to be guided by reason and not ideology, and to be a place where young people look for their future.
