Main topics

01

housing

Prague must build flats for living in, not for speculation. We'll get the construction of thousands of municipal flats going and stop them being sold off once and for all. We'll reserve some of them as service housing for people who keep Prague running every day. We'll push through strict rules for Airbnb and bring empty flats back into play. Anyone who leaves them unused long-term will pay extra. Together with the government, we'll use the new Building Act to speed up both permitting and construction itself.

02

young people

Young people deserve to live, study and plan their future well in Prague. We'll start by saving Strahov. The largest student complex in the country must not be allowed to fall into further disrepair. In cooperation with the government, we'll support the construction and modernisation of student halls and campuses. We'll open new mental health centres, strengthen crisis lines and make sure help is more accessible in time, not only when it's too late. We'll also bring stronger digital safety education into schools, so that young people can find their way in the online world and protect themselves from its risks.

03

transport

Prague needs to get moving. We'll introduce a single coordinator for closures so that repairs are better planned and don't needlessly paralyse the city. Tenders for renovating main roads will be judged not only on price but also on how long the works take. Completing the Prague Ring Road will become investment priority number one. We'll simplify parking into two zones, one for the centre and one for the rest of Prague. We'll also launch a citywide programme to build multi-storey car parks. At the same time, we'll keep residents' parking prices fair and predictable for Prague residents.

A few words about me

I'm 24, I study at Metropolitní univerzita Praha and I'm chair of the youth organisation Mladé ANO. Like most young people, I deal with rent, work and school, and with how to find a bit of free time in between it all. But I've decided to devote it to politics, because I care about what our future will look like.

I've also been working for four years as an assistant to the deputy mayor of Prague 2, so I know local politics not only from campaigns and meeting rooms, but above all from everyday practice. I know how the town hall works, what people in their neighbourhood really deal with and how difficult it can be to turn a good idea into a concrete result.

I've long been working to give young people more space in politics and a real chance to change something. Now I'm running for the Prague City Council from 10th place and for the Prague 2 district council as number two on the list.

I want to help run Prague so that young people can stand on their own two feet here and don't have to leave. We need more affordable housing, decent student halls, better mental health care, quality education and an environment in which it pays to work and do business. Prague should be a city where young people can not only start out, but also stay and build their future.
