01

public space

In recent years, public space in Prague 3 has been improved, which can be seen especially on náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad and Tachovské náměstí. Even so, there are still many places here that you just pass through, often reluctantly. For example, the area around Želivského metro station or Olšanská třída, which feels like a concrete furnace, especially in summer. Yet both places have potential.

02

transport

Some projects can be done in local politics within one or two terms; others require a long-term vision. In the future, Churchillovo náměstí should get an exit from an underground railway station. One day a (semi-)circular metro line could run via Želivského, Nákladové nádraží Žižkov and Jarov. Prague 3 should get actively involved in planning these projects, so that they enrich the places they pass through — and don't just become interchange points.

IT and AI in city administration

Forecasts say the share of residents from abroad will grow in Prague. Many of them are EU citizens, so they have the right to vote and to stand in municipal elections. Even so, they don't do it much. But every place is only as successful as the care that those who live there put into its development — regardless of where they come from. Prague should look for ways to involve fellow residents from the rest of the EU.

A few words about me

People who know me associate me with the EU. I've worked as an adviser to the Minister for European Affairs and in the European Parliament, which I also ran for two years ago. But being European isn't the only identity that defines me — I'm also a proud Prague native and Žižkov local (even if, technically speaking, I live “across the street” in Vinohrady). And I've long been interested in Prague's development and urban innovations from abroad.

But if you've read my topics to the end, you'll see that my Europeanness also carries over into how I think locally. From a year and a half of experience in Brussels, I know how important it is for everyone to look after the place they live in — not just native Prague residents and Czechs, but everyone who lives there.

Apart from that, I work as a data analyst, and in my free time I read, watch series or play Minecraft.
