01

public space

Spatial development that isn't nimby, but modern, ambitious and, above all, at an architectural and urban-planning level befitting a European metropolis. I want to oversee clear rules for the development of one of the most dynamic areas of Prague. At the same time, we need to breathe life into the neglected inner parts of the housing estates. The city must develop in a modern, ambitious way, but with standards. A YIMBY approach is good to complement with an architectural and urban-planning level befitting a European metropolis. One of the most dynamic parts of Prague deserves more than yet more randomness without vision. We must pay the same attention to the neglected parts of the housing estates, places that today feel dead and lifeless. I want to reduce visual smog, tidy up advertising and unify street furniture. Bad taste and makeshift solutions don't have to define us as a nation forever. Prague 13 has the potential to show that even housing estates and a modern piece of Prague can be a beautiful, lively and confident place to live.

02

environment

We have to protect Prokopák. But that doesn't mean being afraid to sensibly build on gaps within the city instead of continuing to nibble away at open countryside. A significant part of our Centrální park is today taken up by the artificial heap Makču Pikču, overgrown with self-seeded trees and without a clear concept. I want to connect it to the pedestrian promenade and add cultural facilities, such as an amphitheatre, sports grounds and better-kept greenery. In short, push Central Park a bit more towards New York, instead of a mess like in New Delhi.

03

safety

Having enough police officers is important, but on its own it isn't enough. Participation, using perception maps of safety, working with data and tackling things like missing street lighting. But what's crucial, surprisingly, is good-quality public space and social life. The only way to ensure a safe city is lively streets and a consistent fight against the broken-windows effect.

A few words about me

This year I finished my law degree in Prague, and at the same time I'm partway through a law degree in Florida. At twenty-five I'm leading the candidate list in a large city district, which is a huge challenge for me. Running is one thing, but leading a whole team means a completely different level of responsibility. I'm probably one of the youngest leaders of relevant parties in Prague.

I want to focus mainly on spatial development and public space. Prague 13 is developing dynamically, but often without sufficient vision and the standard we should expect from a European metropolis.

Otherwise, I'm single, I run, I play hockey, I like dogs, good food and practically any films.
