01

public space

Personally, I see Prague 13's public spaces as among the better ones in Prague, but we need to keep working on them and moving them forward so they're among the very best. It starts with little things like drinking fountains by children's playgrounds, for example. I'd also be in favour of extending cycle paths so that you can ride along them to metro stations, where there would also be bike racks so cyclists could leave their bikes there and continue by metro. But it's also important to look after what we already have and what's already standing, so that on our way home or to work we don't get an unpleasant feeling about the state of our surroundings.

02

young people

Our local council has an average age of over 50, and there's only one councillor under 30. With my candidacy I'm also working towards having a young voice represented. I want Prague 13 to be a city district young people will seek out, but that won't happen without the voice of young people on the council.

03

greenery

In the future I'd like the existing green areas in Prague 13 to be improved in a similar way to what we see, for example, in Britská čtvrť, mainly because of its variety and overall modern layout. The new space in front of FZŠ Mezi Školami is also inspiring, where raised beds that were neither pretty nor clean were replaced with a clear park layout, new lawns and modern perennial beds. In the future I'd welcome more projects based on a similar approach.

A few words about me

Hello, my name is Radek Havrlík and I'm running in this year's municipal elections for the Prague 13 council. I'm currently a university student and I've been interested in politics since I started secondary school. I decided to run mainly to improve the quality of local public spaces. I believe Prague 13 has great potential, but there are still places here that seem neglected to me. I'd like to work towards having as few of these neglected places as possible.
