Running for srdcOVA (ODS, Lidovci, TOP 09 a nestraníci)
Transport is one of the issues that affects the everyday lives of all of us. I want to support the modernisation of Ostrava's public transport so that it's a fast, reliable and attractive alternative to travelling by car. At the same time it's important to keep repairing roads, bridges and pavements and to create good infrastructure for cyclists. My goal is for transport in Ostrava to be comfortable for everyone.
Affordable housing is one of the biggest challenges of our time. Ostrava must be a city where people can afford to live and want to stay. I want to support the construction of new flats and the revitalisation of neglected sites (brownfields). It's important to create conditions for young families so that they don't have to move to other cities. Good housing goes hand in hand with safe surroundings, plenty of greenery and good local amenities.
Good education is an investment in the future of our city. I want to support the modernisation of schools, good facilities for pupils and teachers, and cooperation between schools, companies and universities, so that young people have the best possible opportunities in Ostrava. Support for extracurricular activities, sport and young people's cultural life is also important.
I'm a native of Ostrava and a proud Stará Bělá local. I study at Gymnázium Ostrava-Zábřeh on Volgogradská Street, and in my free time I'm interested in politics, history and what's happening in our city. I'm convinced that young people shouldn't just look on, but should also actively help shape what Ostrava will look like in the future.
That's exactly why I'm running for Ostrava City Council. I want to be the voice not only of the young generation, but of all residents who care about a prosperous Ostrava. I believe that even a young person can bring new ideas, energy and the drive to move things forward.
