A hospice in Ostrava

The population is ageing and the demographic curve is relentless. Homes for seniors or long-term care facilities are important, but the hospice part of care is being forgotten. Ostrava currently has 30 hospice beds, and that's woefully few. The creation of another hospice has already begun (it will add 15 beds), but even so we need to add more and start designing others. Time is relentless and we have to start right after the elections.

Public drinking fountains

The climate is changing and the city has to respond. I draw inspiration from Dubai, where there are public drinking fountains, or fountains if you like, called Dubai Can. It meets two goals - it reduces the number of PET bottles, because people fill their own containers with water + we increase the availability of water for dogs, cats and other animals that really suffer during extreme heat. One small change, one big impact sums up the whole idea.

Gaming events in Ostrava

I want to regularly support gaming events in Ostrava, which will bring new people to the city who will spend money here on accommodation, food or services. That way I'll support local businesses and make Ostrava more attractive. As the venue, I'd choose the Ostrava exhibition grounds.

A few words about me

I'm from Ostrava and practically my whole working life I've been in banking, for the last five years as an investment specialist. The bank taught me order and the ability to read the market.

Every day I travel all over the Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc Regions, but I'm always glad to come back to Ostrava. I live in the centre of Ostrava, so every day I fight a battle with parking - and actually I enjoy it, because sometimes I have to come up with really creative ways to park.

My life is full of missteps and mistakes, but I can guarantee that I've learned from them. The dominant trait of the Scorpio star sign may be stubbornness, but it also includes a maximum effort to achieve something with tangible results. And that's exactly why I'm running - I want to deliver practical solutions.

I define myself as a centrist candidate - seeing the world only as left/right has never been close to me. Today's outlook has to go beyond our horizons, and we have to surpass ourselves in order to understand the world as much as possible.

I'd compare my politics to boxing, which is my everyday hobby. I respect my opponent and expect the maximum from my own performance. It's a paradox that precisely in the world of combat sports many fighters are also friends - and I want to show the same thing in politics. Get rid of pointless quarrels and strengthen mutual respect. And that's something you can build on, don't you think?
