Running for MOSTy Třebíč

Main topics

01

young people

I'm 26, and I was born and grew up in Třebíč. I've always been interested in how the city develops, and I care about young people wanting to stay here and build their future. After studying at the local grammar school, I completed a bachelor's degree at Vysoká škola ekonomická, and I'm now finishing my master's thesis in Management. I work in logistics for an e-commerce company. I'm running because I think Třebíč is capable of more than it believes in itself today. I don't want young people to feel that the only way forward leads out of the city, and I want to help create a place they'll want to come back to – with affordable housing, working transport and public space where you can actually live, not just walk and drive through. I believe in open communication, data and a long-term vision instead of populist promises. That's why I decided to get involved in MOSTy Třebíč – a movement that brings people together across opinions and wants to make decisions professionally and transparently, not according to who has the stronger position.

02

transport

I also work with transport professionally – I work in logistics, so I know how much a well-thought-out approach matters. What bothers me about Třebíč is that transport has long lacked exactly this kind of systematic approach – congested junctions, an unfinished network of cycle paths and cycle lanes, public transport that doesn't fit people's needs. I want to push for intelligent traffic management, a connected and safe network of cycle paths across the city, and public transport that makes sense and responds to how the city is developing.

03

public space

I enjoy taking photos and walking around the city, and you can see how much the quality of public space decides whether people want to spend time in it or just pass through. Public space should serve people above all, not cars, and greenery in the city shouldn't be merely decorative but genuinely good-quality and functional. On the housing estates, where half of Třebíč's residents live, and on Karlovo náměstí, there has long been a lack of greenery, shade and places to sit. I want to help bring public space back to life – more good-quality greenery, benches and shaded places to rest, good playgrounds for children and sports facilities for teenagers, so that people want to be outside and meet each other.
