01

budget and finances

Over the last four years a number of bad financial decisions have been made in Chotěboř – from selling municipal flats below value to introducing unnecessary public transport to the proposal to build a swimming pool for half a billion. Decisions like these can burden the town budget for decades. We don't want Chotěboř to get into debt because of projects it can't afford or doesn't need. We want the town to manage its finances efficiently, transparently and with a long-term outlook. Money should go primarily to projects that Chotěboř really needs and that we can afford. For large investments, we always want to know their real costs, benefits and future running expenses. We don't want to spend just because we can. We want to invest where it makes sense.

02

sport

In Chotěboř we have a new sports complex, but a good sports facility on its own isn't enough. We want to create a good, simple booking system so that everyone can easily find a free slot and rent a pitch. At the same time, we have to take good care of the sports facilities and invest in them regularly so they serve us as long as possible. We also want to give more support to good coaches who work with our young people. Investing in good coaches is an investment in the future of sport in Chotěboř. That's why we want to actively attract good coaches and at the same time run big recruitment campaigns that will bring as many children and young people as possible into sport. We want Chotěboř not only to have places to do sport, but for everyone here to want to do it.

03

open city hall and communication

The town hall isn't here just for officials and councillors, but above all for citizens. We want the town to communicate more with people, listen to their needs and explain clearly what's happening in the town and why. We will improve the transparency of decision-making, involve citizens more in important issues, and we want it to be easier to find out what the town spends money on and what projects it is preparing. Let's not forget the outlying parts of Chotěboř either. People live there too, who have the right to be heard and whose problems must be dealt with. We want to communicate with them regularly, go out to see them and set aside more money directly for their needs and projects. We want a town hall that isn't locked away behind office doors, but is among people and deals with what really troubles them.

A few words about me

I'm a data analyst and above all someone who loves an active life. In my free time I play volleyball and run. For the sixth year now I've also been organising my own volleyball tournament, which around 150 volleyball players come to every year. Thanks to that, I've tried my hand at organisation, working with people and crisis management.

For the last four years I've served on the finance committee, where I followed the town's finances up close. With some decisions I often missed a long-term perspective and a sense that the money spent made sense. That's why I want to help ensure that the town manages its finances responsibly, transparently and efficiently, and that money goes to projects that bring real benefit to residents.
