Main topics

01

transport

- Completion of the Severní spoj - A new tram line in the 7th and 8th building districts - Repairs to pavements and roads, housing estates included I consider transport services across our district to be crucial. Transport helps shape how people live in Poruba, whether they commute to work, drive their kids to school or just want to walk safely to the shops. These and other plans will lead to a better connected and calmer Poruba. But we mustn't forget the smaller paths between buildings and the streets in the housing estates, where locals walk and drive every day. It also makes sense to think about building new parking areas and modernising existing ones, which would make the already complicated parking easier for locals.

02

budget and finances

- A pro-investment budget - Responsible and efficient management - Support for ideas and projects from citizens I consider responsible and pro-investment management of the district to be the foundation of its further development. Money from the budget only makes sense when residents actually get something back from it, not when it disappears into useless projects. It's also important to give more room to residents themselves, who, thanks to the participatory budget Naše Poruba!!!, have a real chance to decide what gets improved in their neighbourhood. As a candidate of the ANO movement, I want to build on the pragmatic direction so far.

03

housing

- An affordable and well-maintained housing stock - Starter flats for young people The city district must work to make young people stay here and not have to leave because of ever-rising housing prices. Among other things, the aim must be to look after a housing stock that is maintained in the long term and available to those who need it. The offer should also include starter flats that will make it easier for young people to start living independently.

A few words about me

My name is Patrik Olšar and I'm a follow-up master's student at the Faculty of Economics of VŠB-TUO. I've been interested in public affairs since childhood. Over time I got tired of being just a listener to everything that doesn't work around us and everything that should be done. I decided to get involved myself and show that politics can be done pragmatically and to the point. Today I'm the regional vice-chair of Mladé ANO and I'd like to move into local politics, where what's being talked about can really be delivered. My main goal is for the environment we live in to develop meaningfully and for young people to have a reason to stay in it. Because I believe that we young people have to have a say in our future and take it into our own hands.
