01

environment

I want a greener and more sustainable district. We need to develop greenery on housing estates, plant trees, create more shaded places and support natural rainwater infiltration. In a time of climate crisis, it's important to adopt effective measures that will lead to a more pleasant and resilient local climate. Unfortunately, today we can't even manage to mow the grass efficiently. That needs to change too. Caring for public greenery should be well thought-out and respect the needs of both people and nature. I also support restricting recreational fireworks, which needlessly burden the environment and disrupt public space as well as the lives of people and animals.

02

public space

I want to support the revitalisation of public spaces using architectural competitions and public participation. For larger revitalisations, a plan for subsequent maintenance should also be required, so that new public spaces and improvements don't fall into disrepair after a few years. I also support the concept of tactical urbanism, which can show new ways of using public space and bringing it to life. Bratislava is a big inspiration for me in this respect.

03

transport

I want transport that serves everyday life. Improving cycling infrastructure also plays an important role in this. Unfortunately, the network is often unintuitive, poor-quality and inconsistent. That's why it's important, for example, to push for the cycling strategy drawn up by MAPPA. Our district also needs a meaningful cycling link between Jih and other parts of the city, such as Poruba. We also mustn't forget accessibility and safety for everyone.

A few words about me

I'm 24 and I was born in Ostrava. I've long been interested in environmental issues, sustainable development and landscape protection. I also care about urbanism, the quality of public space and the well-thought-out development of towns and villages.

I study history, specialising in the political history of the First Republic. Alongside that, I'm interested in the wider context of social and political history, especially in the modern era.

In my free time I like theatre, Czechoslovak New Wave films, music on vinyl, hiking and travelling, or reading poetry over a good coffee. I don't like injustice, which is why I've been through activism and volunteering. I still believe that the way to a better world is solidarity.
