THE DRIVE TO PLAY SPORT AND COACH

Sport and after-school clubs for children often depend on people who put all their free time and energy into coaching. From my own experience at the pool, I know how easy it is to burn out on admin and worries about facilities. Support should aim to ensure that coaches don't lose their motivation and enthusiasm for the work, that children keep their natural joy of movement, and that sport isn't a privilege reserved for the chosen few.

02

LOCAL NON-PROFITS AND ASSOCIATIONS

Local associations and non-profit organisations do a huge amount of invisible work for their communities and hold them together. Through the charity association Alfa Fí, I regularly meet people who look after others or bring public space to life with tremendous commitment. It's important to create a stable and predictable environment for them and to listen to their needs.

EFFICIENT ADMINISTRATION AND PROSPECTS FOR THE REGIONS

Public administration requires strategic management, allocative efficiency and fiscal responsibility. Transparent planning and rational handling of the budget create a stable environment that strengthens the region's socio-economic development and gives not only the young generation long-term prospects for careers and a good quality of life.

A few words about me

Everyone would like to live in České Budějovice, and I've had that luck since I was little. After my bachelor's in management at VŠE, I'm continuing with a follow-up master's programme and, at the same time, studying for a second master's in accounting and corporate financial management in Prague. For the sixth year now I've been running our Budějovice synchronised swimming club, and as vice-chair of the charity association Alfa Fí I help connect support with local non-profits in South Bohemia. I also sit on the university-wide academic senate, so my typical week revolves around planning training sessions at the pool, budget spreadsheets, student issues and charity fundraisers. When there's no time left over for choir singing, I love travelling, discovering new places and taking inspiration from how things do (or don't) work elsewhere.
