01

young people

Politics will interest young people when it takes an interest in them. I want young people to know that their opinion carries weight. They're the future of České Budějovice — they'll study, work, start families and do business here. That's exactly why we have to create the conditions for them to want to stay here.

02

schools and education

Education shouldn't just prepare you for tests. It should prepare you for life. I'm well aware that many changes in education have to be made by the state. But that doesn't mean we can't do anything. I want to support opportunities where young people gain skills they might sometimes lack — financial literacy, critical thinking, communication or, say, teamwork.

03

housing

Affordable housing has become a slogan. I want it to become reality. I don't want to listen to or make empty promises. Young people don't need more numbers on billboards. They need to know when and where they can have a normal place to live. That's why we need a long-term plan that will actually work.

A few words about me

I'm Honza Lexa, I'm 20 and I study at a law faculty. I'm not going into politics because I want to be a politician. I'm going into it because I don't want to just stand by and comment. I want to be part of the solution. I believe politics should be fair, open and close to people. And if we're going to keep moving České Budějovice forward, the voice of our generation should be heard in that too.
