Main topics

01

young people

Jindřichův Hradec should be able not only to reach young people but also to genuinely involve them in how it works and makes decisions. That's why I think it's important to create room for greater youth participation, bring the workings of local government closer to them and give them the chance to take an active part in how the town develops further. Just as important, in my view, is creating conditions for young people to see a future in Jindřichův Hradec. It's natural that many of them leave for studies or work experience elsewhere. But the town should strive to make returning to Jindřichův Hradec a real and attractive option for them – thanks to affordable housing, good job opportunities and room for professional and personal growth.

02

culture

I'd like to strengthen Jindřichův Hradec's cultural offer, not just in the number of events but above all in their quality and reach. In my view, the town has the potential to host cultural projects that will attract visitors from other parts of the country too while strengthening its own cultural identity. Alongside larger events, however, it's important to create conditions for smaller initiatives, first-time organisers and informal groups, especially of young people. The town should be able to offer such projects space, basic support and the chance to grow.

03

schools and education

The town should create the best possible conditions for schools to provide good, modern education while supporting activities that complement regular teaching. I consider especially important good school facilities, support for extracurricular and non-formal education, and closer links between schools and local institutions, employers and experts. Children and students should be able to get to know different fields while still studying, gain practical experience and discover the opportunities Jindřichův Hradec offers them.

A few words about me

I'm 23 and study at the Faculty of Law of Univerzita Karlova. Jindřichův Hradec is a place I have a strong bond with and whose future matters to me. I'm running because I believe in a simple idea: if we want something to change, it's not enough to wait for change – we have to be willing to get involved ourselves. I'd like to bring the perspective of the younger generation into public life and help give young people a greater say in where our town is heading. I want Jindřichův Hradec to be a town that develops, offers opportunities and manages to preserve what makes it a good place to live. A town that young people will want to come back to after their studies and gaining experience, where they'll want to work, live and start their families. I look at my own future from the same perspective. One day I'd like to live in a town I can proudly call my home, knowing that I contributed at least a little to its further development. In my free time I'm a member of Pionýrská skupina Jindřichův Hradec, where I actively work with children. That's also why I see how important it is to create an environment for children and young people in which they can develop their interests, gain experience and build a relationship with the place where they grow up.
