I want to bring culture back into the life of our town. To support traditional events that have their value, and at the same time create more opportunities for young people to get involved and come up with their own ideas. Linked to that is support for associations and individuals, who should get more opportunities and different kinds of support, so they can enrich the town with new events and happenings.
Part of the town budget should be set aside for citizens' ideas, so they can vote to choose projects that will enrich their life in the town.
These days, the town should have social media where it would quickly and effectively present news about what's happening in the town. When a problem arises, or on the contrary something new comes about, citizens often don't even find out about it. Some local groups don't treat the town's citizens decently and everything turns personal, which has no place in politics, local politics included. The town's website could also do with modernising.
I'm originally from Písek, where I've already run for the council twice, although I always wanted to stay more in the background. Last year in the parliamentary elections I managed to move up from 5th place to 3rd, thanks to which people started to get to know me and came to me asking whether something could be done about Protivín too, where I moved, although I've practically been living here for 8 years already. Since the local situation here isn't politically pleasant, and many people feel that Protivín has a future in all sorts of fields, I decided to celebrate my tenth "birthday" in politics by leading our group, which aims to bring new ideas and visions, communicate them with citizens and address their needs. We don't promise that we'll achieve something, but that we'll definitely at least try and find out what can be done about the issue in question.
My life is very varied. Part of my income comes from creating educational activity books for children, and I also do a wide range of work related to energy. We run a private sanctuary for rabbits and rodents, whom we help, find new homes for, or look after. In Protivín I initiated the founding of a cultural association, which brings new activities and events, and not only for locals.
