Running for STAN

Main topics

01

young people

Hradec has to be a town where young people have a reason to stay or to come back after their studies. I would support sensible development projects and the use of the zoning plan and planning agreements so that the town can obtain some of the new flats for affordable housing. A modern coworking space for remote work could also help, as could town-supported short-term childcare in the evenings and at weekends, in cooperation mainly with nursery and primary schools, making it easier for parents to balance work, family and free time. Young culture should also get space, for example a legal wall for street art.

02

public space

I want to push for strengthening the town's CCTV system in places where it's missing today – I consider its complete absence on the Hvězdárna housing estate a problem, for example. Hradec should also deal more systematically with greenery, drought and summer heat – create the post of a greenery coordinator or landscape architect, and install drinking fountains and misting sprays in busy places. I see great potential in a complete revitalisation of Slavíkův les. New car parks must be built in a financially affordable and sustainable way in the long term, and should also come with enough greenery or solar canopies. I'd also like to help turn unused and unsightly kiosks and similar spaces into lively places for services, culture and local businesses.

03

open city hall and communication

The town hall should be accessible, understandable and open to citizens. I would support relaunching the participatory budget and promoting it more, introducing councillors' days, and making the simple interactive map for citizens' suggestions more visible and improving it. For every factual and specific suggestion, citizens should be able to see whether the town is dealing with it or intends to, when a fix can be expected, or why the intervention isn't within the town's powers or current capabilities. This can help both with places that have been neglected for a long time, for example in dealing with the state of the road on Bratrská street in Jakub, and with seemingly minor problems that nonetheless matter in everyday life.

A few words about me

After graduating from the Faculty of Law of Masarykova univerzita in Brno, I returned to my native Jindřichův Hradec, where I'm continuing to gain experience in law as a trainee lawyer. Living and studying in Brno, a city full of young people, new ideas and inspiring projects, helped me define myself not only as a person but also politically. I've now decided to get actively involved in public life and run for the Jindřichův Hradec town council.

I see making Jindřichův Hradec more attractive for young people as an important and complex task that touches many areas of life in the town and requires above all a long-term vision, new ideas and energy.

In my work I deal with people's specific problems every day and look for solutions. I'd like to bring this experience to the council too and connect its work more closely with everyday life and the specific problems of the people of Hradec.
