Main topics

01

transport

Transport should make people's lives easier, not set them against each other. That's why for four years I've been pushing, on behalf of Prague 2, for systemic transport measures that are a solution for transport across all of Prague. Directly in Prague 2 I work on safer crossings, better parking for locals, pavement repairs and more sensible coordination of road closures. I'm also working on gradually moving cars underground so that we gain more space on the surface for trees, seating and safe pedestrian movement. I support high-quality public transport, metro line D, the city railway (“metro S”) and faster connections across the city. I don't want transport based on ideology, but on data, local people's experience and common sense. A city has to keep moving – and at the same time be a good place to live.

02

public space

Transport and public space go hand in hand. We're already working on transforming streets and squares, repairing pavements, planting new trees, making crossings safer and bringing life back to places that deserve it. I want Prague 2 to keep making sure there's enough shade, water, benches, quality architecture and space for cafés, culture, sport and neighbourhood get-togethers. We're working on reducing visual smog and tackling the reconstruction of neglected corners. A good city isn't just one that looks nice in a visualisation or on Instagram. In Prague 2 we turn ideas into reality, so our projects don't end up only on paper. But we also take care of the reconstructed spaces – we clean streets, squares and parks regularly. They have to be clean, safe and pleasant every day – in the morning on the way to work and in the evening with friends.

03

sport

For me sport isn't a slogan for a manifesto but an ordinary part of life. As an instructor I lead group classes in my free time and I know how much exercise helps physically, mentally and in building community. That's why I want to keep supporting accessible sports facilities, modernising playgrounds and opening school grounds outside teaching hours too. We've managed to organise big sports events right out in the open, gradually reconstruct outdoor workout parks and build several new playgrounds. In Prague 2 we want sports and community events to go straight into the parks and be accessible even without an expensive membership. A city should naturally invite people to move – with good spaces, equipment and energy. Because the best sport is the one that's truly close at hand.

A few words about me

I'm 30, I was born in Prague and I simply live and breathe Prague 2. For four years, as a member of the Prague 2 executive board, I've been responsible for transport and business support. I enjoy changing concrete things around us – from systemic changes in transport, through safer crossings and repaired pavements and finding parking solutions that support locals, to organising neighbourhood events that bring life to public space. Alongside municipal politics, in my free time I teach BodyPump and BodyBalance classes as an instructor. I like pace, energy and above all results that are actually visible. I'm running because I don't want to just comment on the city. I want to keep moving it forward: in a modern, practical way and with respect for the people who live in it. Prague should be a place where young people want to stay, not one they want to escape from.
