let young people have a reason to stay

I want young people to have a reason to come back to Jeseník. After their school-leaving exams, most leave to go to university elsewhere. So it's important that after their studies they can come back and find work, housing, sports and cultural activities here, and an environment in which they'll want to live and start a family. We're also actively working on affordable housing, for example the apartment building being prepared on Vrchlického Street. At the same time, we want the voice of the young generation to be heard more and for it to be able to take part in the town's future. Jeseník has something to offer young people. But we need to create conditions so that after school they don't have to look for their life elsewhere, but can come back and say: this is where I want to live.

public space

Public space is something each of us uses every day, which is why we should pay attention to it. In Jeseník we want to create pleasant places for meeting, relaxing and spending free time. We're a spa town with lots of springs and beautiful nature, so we should think about water too. At a time when periods of drought are getting longer, it's important to support greenery and take steps to better retain water in the landscape. At the same time, we want people to be able to get around the town safely and comfortably on foot, by bike and by public transport. We've already started taking concrete steps towards these goals and we need to continue with them. It's not about fighting cars, but about finding a balance that works for everyone.

a city that listens to people

The town shouldn't decide about people without people. Citizens should be able to say what bothers them, what they miss in the town and what, on the other hand, they'd like to keep. Participation is also important to me, meaning the chance to get involved in decision-making and influence things that directly affect them. We have experience with a participatory budget and other ways of involving citizens, and we want to continue with that. But listening doesn't just mean collecting suggestions. It's also important to explain why some things can be done and others can't, and to look for solutions together. We care about everyone having the chance to get involved in the life of the town, regardless of age, part of town or opinion.

A few words about me

I'm 28 and I've lived in Jeseník all my life. After university I came back, and I want to show people my age that life in Jeseník isn't boring. Four years ago I became a town councillor, and in that time I've got to know municipal politics up close. I care about Jeseník developing, being a good place to live and having a place for young people too. I'm into sport and working with people - I'm a gym trainer and I teach at a primary school. I went into politics convinced that young people should also have the opportunity to influence what their town will look like.
