public space
I care about the space we live in. It affects our physical and mental health. I believe that often just a few small things are enough to make people's lives a little better. I notice details that emerge naturally – for example, trodden paths between pavements that follow intuitive routes but don't always match the original design. In the rain they then turn into mud. I think it's important to look at public space over time, watch how people actually use it and respond accordingly.
