Main topics

01

budget and finances

I consider responsible financial management one of the basic prerequisites for a well-functioning city district. I'm convinced that Prague 8 must manage its money prudently, keep a balanced budget in the long term and avoid getting into debt. Public funds aren't the town hall's money, they're all of our money, and that's why they must be handled purposefully, transparently and with maximum responsibility. I want to support investments that bring real benefits to residents, improve quality of life and contribute to the long-term development of Prague 8. Just as important is regularly evaluating the effectiveness of individual projects and making sure every crown spent brings the greatest possible benefit.

02

safety

Safety must be one of Prague 8's highest priorities. It's not enough just to push for more police officers on the streets. Just as important to me is listening to residents and paying attention to the places where they don't feel safe. I want the city district to work regularly with a perceived-safety map and take concrete measures based on it. Whether that means more frequent patrols, better street lighting, a camera system or changes to public space. The goal should be for people to feel safe at home and when moving around all of Prague 8 at any time of day.

03

culture

Culture is an important part of life in every well-functioning city district and helps build people's relationship with the place where they live. I want Prague 8 to actively care for its cultural heritage, support the restoration of historic monuments and protect values that matter to current and future generations. I also consider it important to create conditions for cultural life to develop and to support high-quality cultural events that are accessible to all residents regardless of age or interests. Culture should be a natural part of public space, a place for people to meet and a chance for life in Prague 8 to be good not only today but in the future too.

A few words about me

I'm studying the master's programme in Artificial Intelligence at MFF UK. Technology and working with data are areas I've been involved in for a long time, and they've taught me to look for practical and efficient solutions to problems. I want to use this approach in local politics too, in decision-making, planning and looking for solutions that will bring real benefits to citizens' everyday lives.

I've lived in Holešovičky for several years now, and Prague 8 is a place I know not only from the map but above all from everyday life. I'm running for the first time because I want to devote my time and energy to helping our city district keep developing as a good-quality, pleasant place to live. Prague 8 has great potential, but it also faces a number of challenges, from responsible financial management to safety to caring for public space and supporting local life.

Above all, I want to work on making the town hall run efficiently, openly and with a long-term vision. I care about decisions being based on residents' real needs and about public funds going to projects that deliver concrete results. I believe the younger generation should also have the chance to help shape the future of the city district and bring a new perspective on the problems that affect everyday life.

In my free time I enjoy technology, science and everything to do with innovation. I like animals and good food, and I like discovering new restaurants, flavours and interesting places in Prague 8. My favourite ways to relax include films, TV series and walks with good music.
