Running for Příbram ZDOLA, stranická přísl. LEVICE

Main topics

01

housing

Housing is one of the biggest problems that not only the young generation faces. The city must not neglect and sell off its property; on the contrary, it should expand it as much as possible. The priority is therefore to try to get as many new flats as possible for young people and families, set fair and equal relations with developers, and use contributions to finance further growth of the municipal housing stock. We'll also direct the city's support towards shared housing, cooperative construction and a guaranteed rent system.

02

transport

Getting around the city affordably and without risk should be automatic. In Příbram we want to make the public transport system more efficient and introduce free fares. We'll also work on a faster connection to Prague. But our priority is safety – both for pedestrians, through a review of crossings, kerb ramps and reduced-speed zones, and for cyclists, through building new infrastructure. And so that you can really get anywhere, we'll introduce shared bikes!

03

public space

The city should serve everyone – whatever their needs. Příbram must be safe and easy to get through for wheelchair users, families with prams, children and cyclists. We want to focus on reviving so-called third places, building new places for meeting and responding to the climate crisis – with greenery, drinking fountains and adapting the city's infrastructure to renewable sources. We want to change public space so that it's welcoming and functional. We want the participatory budget to support bottom-up projects that come from people. Anyone who has an idea or wants to change something should be able to find support and a partner at the town hall. Whether they want to start a community garden or tutor schoolchildren for free.

A few words about me

I study social and economic history and work at a foundation dedicated to community development and supporting civic engagement. For a long time I've been trying to help make Příbram a livelier, more accessible and more open town – I organise cultural events, festivals, concerts, exhibitions and debates, and I'm involved in volunteering and spreading it.

I like cycling around town, reading books in good-quality public space, and affordable housing. And none of that is ideal in Příbram yet. I'd like Příbram to have more and more places for meeting, culture and everyday life – in short, for it to be a town where people will want to stay.
