Running for Šance pro Mladou Boleslav

Main topics

01

safety

Safety starts with the people who are actually out in the streets. That's why I want to solve the long-standing understaffing of the municipal police and gradually increase its numbers. I propose stabilising the conditions for recruiting and retaining officers, strengthening their presence in problem areas and setting up regular joint coordination between the municipal police, the Police of the Czech Republic and other services. This must also include systematic work with the CCTV system and crime prevention. The goal is fewer problems in the streets, faster response and a greater sense of safety for residents.

02

open city hall and communication

I want a town hall that is accountable to citizens and doesn't make decisions behind closed doors. I propose making the publication of contracts, tenders and municipal investments much clearer, regularly reporting on the progress of major projects and giving citizens an easier way to submit and track their suggestions. I also want to strengthen the participatory budget and involve residents in decisions on specific investments in their area. For me, an open town hall means one simple rule: citizens should be able to find out what the town is doing, how much it costs and why.

03

young people

Mladá Boleslav must be a city where young people not only study and work but also want to live. That's why I want to give more support to sports, cultural and leisure activities and create safe places for spending free time. I propose a regular platform for dialogue between the city and young people, support for their own projects and easier access to municipal spaces for associations and informal groups. In my view, young people shouldn't just be on the receiving end of the town hall's decisions – they should have the opportunity to come up with ideas themselves and influence what the city will look like.

A few words about me

I'm a young person who wants Mladá Boleslav to be a safe and well-functioning city – and I don't just want to talk about it.

I'm studying security and legal studies at the Police Academy of the Czech Republic and at the same time I work as a specialist employee in the prison service at Jiřice Prison. Thanks to that, I deal with safety not only at school but also in everyday practice.

I have almost a whole term of office behind me on several committees of the City Executive Board and several years as a member of the Mayor's Advisory Board for Security and Public Order. During this time we managed to push through a number of concrete things – from safety and prevention projects for the public and children to the development of crime prevention and expanded cooperation between the city and the police, the prison service and other security forces.

I believe that safety isn't something to be taken for granted. It's an area worth investing in over the long term, working with experts and, above all, delivering concrete results.

And that's exactly what I want to continue.
