A few words about me
I was born in Kolín and this town is my home. I'm a husband and the dad of a little daughter. I'm entering local politics because I want to use my work experience where it really matters – directly for our town and its residents.
I KNOW HOW PROJECTS FOR MUNICIPALITIES ARE PREPARED AND FINANCED. For more than 6 years I worked with more than 40 municipalities in the Central Bohemian Region and took part in more than 100 projects. I handled their financing and implementation – from pavements and roads to schools and other public buildings. I KNOW THAT THE TOWN'S MONEY MUST BE LOOKED AFTER.
As a project manager, I've also long worked with real estate, investments and renovations. In my profession, I'm responsible for managing construction work on a property portfolio with a total value of over a quarter of a billion crowns. I KNOW WHAT DISCIPLINE AND PERSEVERANCE MEAN.
At the Kolín Ju-Jutsu club I grew up not only as an athlete but also as a person. I won the Czech national championship title there and 5th place in the Kolín Athlete of the Year poll. Life on the tatami taught me discipline, responsibility and perseverance – values I live by outside sport too.
I'm running for the Kolín council as candidate no. 3 for the coalition of SPD, KSČM and SOCDEM, and as chair and leader of SOCDEM in Kolín. I want Kolín to be a safe home that develops sensibly, economically and with regard for its residents. That's why I want to push above all for more affordable housing, support for families and greater safety in the streets.
Bc. Lukáš Kopecký, MBA candidate no. 3 | SOCDEM leader
