A few words about me
I'm from České Budějovice and spent a large part of my life in Switzerland. Life eventually brought me to Ostrava, which I fell in love with and which has become my home. I have my life, my job, my friends here and plenty of reasons why I care about this city.
Přívoz is my home. It's a part of Ostrava that is often labelled a socially excluded area. Every day I see problems here that can't be ignored, but also people who care about their surroundings and want their home to change for the better. Safety, housing, order or the state of public space aren't distant topics. They affect the everyday lives of all of us. It was right here that I realised local politics starts with specific places and people. I want these places not just to be talked about as problem areas, but for specific solutions to be found that will help the people who live in them.
I decided to get involved in public affairs because I want to be part of what will move Ostrava forward. I'm vice-chair of Mladé ANO in the Moravian-Silesian Region and a member of both the regional and the city social affairs commissions. I'm also a co-author of the Ženy v politice project.
I work at a travel agency, where I especially enjoy communicating with people. In my free time I like travelling and discovering new places, running and spending time with friends and my four cats.
I want Ostrava to be a good place to live for all generations. A city where people have a reason to stay, to come back and to say: “This is my home.”
