Main topics

01

support for families

I want our district to be a place where families live well in their everyday lives. An important topic for me is accessible care for the youngest children, meaning nurseries, children's groups or other flexible care options that can help parents return to work. I would also like to support places where parents and children can naturally spend time, meet and build a community. In my view, families also need safe, good-quality playgrounds, greenery, space for leisure and a range of activities for different age groups. My goal is that families don't have to leave the centre the moment they have children, but on the contrary have a reason to stay here.

02

Greenery and public space

In my view, public space shouldn't be treated as an add-on to investments. It is one of the basic things that determines what quality of life the centre offers its residents, and the quality of public space has a direct influence on how people live in the centre and whether they want to stay there long-term. Greenery is therefore not just a question of how the streets look, but an important part of the city's development and its residents' quality of life. I am in favour of placing more emphasis on preserving existing greenery, maintaining it well and adding to it thoughtfully where conditions allow. Every change to public space should seek a balance between its functionality, traffic, the movement of people and enough greenery.

03

open city hall and communication

No more decisions made from behind a desk. The town hall has to be right out in the streets and among people. That's exactly where we best find out what works in the individual parts of the district, what people are missing and what specific problems need solving. More public meetings should therefore take place right where the topic in question applies – on squares, housing estates, in courtyards or parks. Talking to locals about their surroundings, hearing their experiences and looking for possible solutions. Clear communication is just as important. The town hall has to be able to explain what it's dealing with, why it's dealing with it and what its decisions mean for everyday life in the district.

A few words about me

I live in Ostrava, I'm raising my children here, and it's here that I decided to get more actively involved in public life. I studied management in trade and services and for more than ten years I have worked professionally in marketing, communication, events and business. I also built a community centre for parents with children under five, which offers space for meeting, activities and children's development, but also education and self-fulfilment for parents during parental leave. In politics I focus mainly on families, women and quality of life in the city. The topic of balancing parenthood with work, business and personal fulfilment is close to my heart, which is why I lead the project ANO! Ženám v politice., whose aim is to motivate women and girls to get more involved in public and political life, give them the courage to take the first step and show that we have our place in politics.

I also work as a regional assistant to a member of parliament. Thanks to that, I follow politics not only from the local perspective but also the issues dealt with at national level and their impact on our region. I try to connect these experiences with everyday life in Ostrava. Besides work and politics, family and sport are important to me. I like running, I do canicross and my favourite thing is heading out to the Beskydy.
