Four-legged culture

Culture has four legs so it doesn't limp! Community: We involve the whole town community, support organisers, educate young people and listen to audiences' views. Inspiration: We offer good-quality, affordable culture to all residents. Today's creativity is the foundation of tomorrow's cultural heritage. Prosperity: We look after cost-effectiveness and sustainability. Cultural investments have to pay back in the future, and we define key areas together with experts. Measurability: We create and evaluate what we offer based on data such as attendance or profitability. What we want to understand, we have to be able to measure.

02

schools and education

Our priority is good-quality education, support for teachers and enough places in schools. Český Brod and the region are growing dynamically, which puts greater demands on capacity. New projects and building capacity Building a joint municipal school at ZŠ Žitomířská and in Doubravčice will increase capacity by 810 pupils. A new nursery school is being built on Kollárova street, and more classrooms have been created in the Stavokonstrukce complex. On Krále Jiřího street there are three childcare groups for 36 children. Quality of environment and support By transferring ZŠ Žitomířská to the association of municipalities, the existing town school will gain room for renovation. The aim is a modern, safe and inspiring environment, renovated classrooms and support for leisure activities.

03

social services

Accessible care and good-quality social services are a pillar of the town. The aim is to create great conditions for doctors and service providers. Healthcare and new surgeries The return of the ambulance service is planned with a new station on Klučovská around 2029. We're renovating surgeries: a dental double surgery, the yellow polyclinic and 3 surgeries in the Stavokonstrukce complex are being created. We've launched a programme to support new paediatricians. Social services and savings In the retirement home we've built a modern boiler room that significantly reduces energy consumption. We want to further develop outreach services, prevention and dignified care for seniors.

A few words about me

My name is Jan Nekolný and I've lived in Český Brod since birth. I went through primary school and grammar school here and had a wonderful childhood and adolescence. Our town gave me a good education, a sense of safety and plenty to do in my free time.

I've long tried to give this support back to Český Brod — I help organise cultural events and put on my own music concerts for you.

But I'd like to go one step further. I've decided to run for the town council so that I can put my experience to good use and actively work for all of us. Český Brod is my home and I want it to remain a great place to live.

Thank you for your support!
