Main topics

01

housing

I want to set up better management of the housing stock owned by Prague 5. Flats that only need minor repairs should be offered on long-term leases (e.g. 10 years with the option to extend) to young couples, students and new households, who would carry out and pay for the repairs themselves. Flats where the cost of renovation would be disproportionately high compared to their resulting value I propose selling, and using the money raised to buy flats in good technical condition or new builds.

02

young people

I want a district hall that treats young people as partners, not as an item at the end of the agenda. I'll build on the existing cooperation with the Children and Youth Parliament of Prague 5 and make it a firmer part of the district hall's decision-making. The district hall should actively offer opportunities to get involved in community life and work with local community centres. At the same time, I want to bring generations together so that projects connecting seniors and young people come about.

A few words about me

I'm 21, I study law at UK (well, obviously, where else would a young candidate study these days :D), and on top of that I work as a legal assistant at a law firm, so paperwork doesn't scare me. This year I'll vote in municipal elections for the first time, and I'm also running for the first time, for the Prague 5 council.

I've enjoyed getting young people involved in public life for a long time. I organised an international Model European Parliament for 200 students, I have teaching experience at a secondary school and experience from a community centre. I want the district hall to take young people seriously for real, and I want Prague 5 to have affordable housing for those who are just starting out, too.
