Main topics

01

housing

Finding affordable housing these days is one of the biggest problems for the young generation, but not only for them. The town should therefore change the zoning plan and support the construction not only of family homes but also of multi-unit housing. The system for allocating municipal flats needs to be completely reformed so that it's transparent, fair and provides real support to young people, families and the socially disadvantaged who want to stay and live in Sezimovo Ústí. The town shouldn't lose young people just because of a lack of housing opportunities.

02

safety

Ensuring peace and safety throughout the town is a key point of our programme, which responds directly to increasingly frequent complaints from citizens pointing to growing problems with crime and disturbances of public order. I want to address safety in problem areas by expanding the town's camera system and installing cameras on municipal buildings. The aim is also to make the municipal police more accessible to citizens on the ground, to ensure fast and effective intervention wherever it's needed. It's also a priority for me to support the volunteer firefighters and solve the long-standing problem with the fire station in our town.

03

transport

Fast, convenient and safe transport is the basis of residents' everyday lives when travelling to school or work. We need to expand parking capacity in the town and also bet on close cooperation on this issue with the major entities and institutions operating in Sezimovo Ústí, so that we can relieve overloaded areas in a coordinated way. The town should make the public transport network more efficient so that connections link up better and match residents' real needs, especially those of seniors.

A few words about me

I'm 21, I live in Sezimovo Ústí and I study at Vysoká škola ekonomická in Prague. At the same time, for the second year now I've been working as an assistant to an MP. I've long been interested in public affairs, which is why I decided not to sit on my hands but to really roll up my sleeves and change things around me. As an economics student, I've noticed a lot of room for improvement in how the town has managed its finances in recent years. Some investments leave me baffled, because they lack any deeper purpose. Public money simply needs to be spent efficiently and with the care of a prudent manager. More and more often, when talking to people, I come across dissatisfaction and the feeling that the town leadership doesn't listen enough to their needs, which I see as a fundamental failure, because municipal politicians should be closest to people. I'm not indifferent to the direction our town has been taking in recent years. That's why I decided to run for the town council and offer a new alternative, so as to bring new energy, a new perspective and real solutions to the running of Sezimovo Ústí.
