Real order instead of checks in pubs

A municipal police station at the railway station isn't enough if people still see the area around it as the least safe in Plzeň. Officers must actively intervene against drunks and drug addicts harassing people around them, not just walk past them indifferently and prefer to deal with parking offences. The police's priority must return to the streets, to dealing with obvious vandalism and disturbances of the peace. Constantly running inspection raids in bars and bothering citizens who just went out for a drink with friends in the evening doesn't add to anyone's sense of safety.

I'll keep young blood in Plzeň

Plzeň owns more than 2,500 flats. Alongside seniors and families, we must set aside part of this portfolio for university students and fresh graduates, who are hit by the shortage of dormitory capacity and extreme market rents. I want to offer affordable rent for the duration of studies, with the option of extending it by 3 years after graduation. We'll give young people time to get on their feet financially and at the same time keep them here in Plzeň. A condition for getting this housing could be, for example, registering permanent residence in Plzeň. Thanks to this, the city will gain additional tax revenue and residents who can find a home here for life.

03

Smooth traffic and sensible rules

An end to the senseless blocking of Plzeň by simultaneous road closures. I'll push for coordination of construction work and for speeding up as much as possible the strategic projects that will relieve busy streets — especially the I/27 through-road and the eastern part of the I/20 bypass. Speed checks make sense near schools, nurseries and in residential zones. Harassing drivers on clear exit roads out of the city makes no sense. On selected main arteries, on the other hand, I'll push to raise the speed limit to 70 km/h. I want new multi-storey car parks built in residential areas, with affordable subscriptions for local residents and a fair hourly P+R rate.

A few words about me

I'm 20 and I've lived in Plzeň my whole life. I'm currently studying at the University of West Bohemia, where I combine studies at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics. I care about the fate of our city. Every day I notice problems around us and I want to actively solve them. I'm already gaining practical experience of how public administration works through my role on the Public Procurement Committee of the Plzeň Region. Combining a legal and an economic perspective gives me a great foundation for keeping an eye on city finances and making sure that Plzeň residents' money is handled purposefully, transparently and without unnecessary waste. In the municipal elections I'm running for Občanská demokratická strana, because I want to bring young energy and a professional approach to managing finances to the city, and to guarantee that Plzeň will be a safe, modern and affordable home where everyone wants to live, study and work.
