A few words about me
I'm a social worker and studied Social Work at the Faculty of Arts of Západočeská univerzita v Plzni. I'm currently continuing with a master's at Pražská vysoká škola psychosociálních studií. In my professional practice I've long worked with families, children and adolescents in difficult life situations. Every day I see how important timely and accessible help is and how much well-designed support can affect how a whole family functions.
Since 2022 I've also been actively involved in local affairs. I serve on the Commission for Civic Affairs and Ceremonies of the Plzeň 3 District Executive Board and on the Commission for Security and Crime Prevention of the Plzeň City Executive Board, where I can connect my practical experience with how the city works.
I want to bring experience from hands-on practice to local politics. I want to support good social services, prevention and good conditions for families, children and young people. In my view, the city shouldn't wait until a difficult situation turns into a crisis, but should be able to help in time and in a meaningful way.
It's also important to me that the city connects more with the professionals who work directly with people. They know well the real needs of families and where the system works and where it falls short. That's why I want to support their greater involvement in planning services and in the city's decision-making.
And when I'm not dealing with social work or the world around me, you'll most likely find me with a book in my hand or over a board game – because in my free time, too, I enjoy stories, strategy and finding ways out of complicated situations.
