A few words about me
I'm from Krnov, where I went to the local grammar school. Now I'm starting my second year at the MUNI law faculty, and on top of that I'm starting to study history at the arts faculty.
In Krnov I try to support local cultural life as much as I can; I like going to the concerts and exhibitions held here.
Every year I help organise a commemoration of the victims of communism, and I take part in meetings with the descendants of Krnov's Germans as part of the Czech-German Week, which is usually held in Krnov at the end of August. It's important to me not to forget the history Krnov has been through, whether it's the expulsion of the German population or the pre-war rescue of the synagogue, which is thus one of the few surviving synagogues in the Sudetenland.
I don't want to forget the history Krnov has, which in my view can attract many tourists, but at the same time the town hall needs a leadership that, after several years of treading water, will finally move Krnov forward so that it starts developing again.
