A few words about me
I've been active in Jaroměř for over ten years as a guide and presenter in Josefov, and I now work as an employee of the municipal office – as head of the Josefov Rescue unit. Before this position I worked at the Ministry for Regional Development in the area of EU grants and also at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic during the Czech Presidency. I focus on the phenomenon of fortress towns and especially on solving their problems – I draw inspiration from abroad or from scientific knowledge. I've long been dedicated to popularising the local natural and cultural heritage, from the academic sphere through audiences abroad to the domestic public.
I try to tackle the challenges Josefov and Jaroměř currently face. Above all I'd like the municipal office to run more efficiently and to see better digitalisation, because the city's chance of solving the problems that really weigh on residents depends on it. In general I'd also like more attention to be paid to the Josefov agenda, especially now that Jaroměř is “running” in a special regime (at least until 2033), under which it can draw up to CZK 1.5 billion from government programmes to rescue Josefov. It's the responsibility of all of us to make sure these funds are spent purposefully. And finally, I'd like to work on environmental or transport topics too.
