Preserve existing greenery and add water features

Currently we can see efforts by some politicians and parties to build over Jižní Město as much as possible, regardless of the impact, for example on greenery and the environment. My goal is to defend greenery and green areas to the maximum – I will vote against selling land owned by the city district into private hands and I will support the revitalisation of existing parks and green areas.

02

Tackling motorway noise, the state of the roads and new transport connections

It bothers me that nobody is dealing with the noise and exhaust pollution from the motorway (now a first-class road) next to which I've lived since birth. In my view the speed limit should be lowered or at least (average) speed cameras installed. I also consider the traffic situation in Prague 11 dismal: mass construction is being planned (and is already under way), yet the existing transport infrastructure isn't being repaired or expanded in any way. It should be exactly the other way round!! And finally, it's absolutely crucial for future development and quality of life to extend the tram line from Spořilov all the way to Háje and also add more trolleybus lines – I see the future in that rather than in combustion-engine buses.

03

young people

I'd like our city district to be a place where we young people will want to spend time, whether it's cultural events, leisure activities, sports, time in nature, venues and so on. So that we don't have to travel to the centre or elsewhere (not only) for fun. Preserving Galaxie is a must, and I'm in favour of an outdoor swimming pool, which Jižňák is so badly missing!!

A few words about me

I've grown up in Prague 11 since birth, specifically among the family houses of old Chodov. I study Timber Construction at Mendel University in Brno, and what I enjoy most about it is surveying old roof truss structures or entire buildings – log cabins. My interests include cycling, running, trips into nature and travelling by train. I've long been interested in both municipal and national politics, and I care about what's happening around me.
