A pleasant place to live for young families

As a husband and dad, I feel how important it is to me that the place where I live is a pleasant environment for spending free time with kids. That includes clean and repaired roads and pavements, public spaces, enough benches in the right places, working and unbroken children's playgrounds, workout areas, etc. Simply things that help make time in the town more pleasant for families.

02

Politics as a service to future generations

I often have the feeling that various decisions are made with a short-term vision of an easier situation or a quick patch-up of a problem. But in the long run these measures don't make sense, or they directly harm the next generation, who will have to deal with much bigger problems that we could have prevented right now. At home especially, I feel how great a responsibility it is to pass on the right values from an early age. And how I'd like to live and what joys and problems I'd like to be dealing with in 20 or 30 years depends precisely on how I start working on it now. Change won't happen overnight, nor in a single term of office. Real change is the result of long-term effort, and that's why I want to start now.

03

Písek as an attractive place for employers

Písek is an amazing place, and that's confirmed by the fact that my peers come back to Písek after their studies. Employers' attractiveness and the know-how of potential employees are things that support each other, and you can't have one without the other. Employers want to set up branches where they'll find people with the right know-how. Young people will be happy to come back to Písek when they see they can find interesting work here that they'll enjoy.

A few words about me

As a born and bred Písek local, I came back to Písek after studying in Prague and several exchanges abroad in the USA and Germany. I work for a company in the automotive industry in the purchasing department, where I'm responsible for communication with suppliers from Czechia, Europe and Asia. It's a very dynamic sector that has gone through big changes in recent years, and I'm glad I can be part of it. In my free time I help run the ultimate frisbee club PeaceEgg, and I also play volleyball, play the guitar and sing. Last but not least, I spend time with my family, which fills me with the joy of life every day. I decided to run because I realised that if I want something to change, I have to contribute to it myself. I see politics as a service to others, from which a lot of good can come if it's approached the right way. In today's era of rapid technological progress, it's sometimes easy to get lost in it all, but people's needs are still the same.
