01

housing

I propose increasing support for building the flats that are missing, especially starter flats for young people and flats for needed professions. My goal is to keep young families in the town, ensure dignified housing for seniors and support people in key professions. It's necessary to actively negotiate with investors and at the same time carry out the town's own projects. I'm convinced that the town should also own flats and rent them out not only to needed professions and socially disadvantaged families, but also to other citizens of Trutnov.

02

energy

I propose setting up an energy community that will allow us to produce our own clean energy, for example in solar power plants on municipal buildings. We'll then be able to share this energy with households and local businesses on better terms than the big suppliers offer. The aim of my proposal is to genuinely reduce the financial burden on family budgets and support the local economy.

03

IT and AI in city administration

I propose launching the development of a 5G network ecosystem application for smart cities. We need to create a city app connected to the citizen portal that will inform citizens about news in the town, be connected to the crisis management system to inform citizens during an emergency, be linked to the municipal police in case they need to be called, and offer a way to handle many dealings with the municipal office in a few clicks. The app would also make it easy to report faults or provide information about free capacity in public car parks.

A few words about me

My name is Pavel Wagenknecht, I'm 23, I come from Trutnov and I study at the Faculty of Law of Charles University. I currently work at the Ministry of Finance in the Tax Legislation Department, and since 2024 I've also been serving on the Trutnov City Council.

I'd like to build on my work on the city council from the previous term and keep trying to work for the town and its citizens as best I can, and through my work and commitment contribute to positive changes around me. It's harder to do that from the opposition benches now, so I'd be glad if we managed to win enough representation on the council to be able to form a coalition and take seats on the city executive board, where decisions are made directly about the everyday matters of running the town.
