A city with a history and a future
Heritage officials must not stand in Zlín's way. We can rightly be proud of our Baťa architecture, but preserving it must not hold back the city's development or make it harder for residents to renovate their own homes. Insulation, new windows or even a brick fence can be a problem today. I'm in favour of shrinking the heritage zone to the city centre, so that it's easier for residents to modify their houses without unnecessary delays and in line with today's living standards.
