CITY SPACE FOR CULTURE AND A SAFE NIGHTLIFE

Zlín needs facilities for young creators and bands, and a proper nightlife for adults. From my experience in the festival and concert world, I know how much an open cultural club for the independent scene is missing here. But I don't want to target only students. Zlín today painfully lacks a venue for people around thirty and young parents. We need a city space that, with a bit of exaggeration, will replace the legendary Golem. I'll support the creation of a quality club where adults across generations can have a good time. Safety has to go hand in hand with that, which is why I want to push through modern preventive measures against threats such as drink spiking, so that we create an environment completely free of worry.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND RESPECTFUL SOCIAL SERVICES

For young people and talented graduates to come back to Zlín, we have to offer them motivating conditions, led by affordable municipal housing. But the city also has to be able to take care of residents across generations and without stigmatisation. From studying social pedagogy and my experience of innovating services for adults with ADHD, I know how crucial a modern safety net is. I'll support increasing care capacity for seniors and people dependent on the help of others, whether in the form of care homes or day care centres. At the same time, I want to push through systematic support for social services workers themselves, who do extremely demanding and valuable work every day.

PUBLIC SPACE, COMMUNITIES AND ANIMALS IN THE CITY

Our strength isn't in the anonymity of a big city, but in humanity, closeness and local wellbeing. So I want to actively support neighbourly community life and meaningful development of public space. One option, for example, is reviving long-unused municipal land in the form of community gardens and meeting places. The topic of animals in the city and responsible pet ownership is also close to my heart. I'll push for clean and practical facilities for dog owners. From cleverly placed bins to safe fenced dog runs that will let dogs move freely while being considerate to other residents of Zlín.

A few words about me

I'm a Zlín native who came back after years of university studies and wants to take an active part in improving life in our city for all its residents. I studied social pedagogy and counselling and then marketing communication. Today I work professionally in marketing and communication for music events.

Volunteering plays a key role in my life. Since 2020 I've been active in the Zlín Scout crisis centre, helping with humanitarian aid, and I also provide temporary care for greyhounds rescued from Irish racing.

I'm going into local politics with a vision of doing things transparently and sweeping away the entrenched structures that have ruled the town hall for years. I want to bring into the city's leadership the perspective of a young person who draws on a broad outlook and real professional and life experience. The city has to work with empathy, courage and a modern approach.
