Running for Srdcem pro Karvinou

Main topics

01

housing

Gradually buy out Heimstaden. This will give the city the opportunity to provide starter housing at favourable rents to young families. We'll also be able to offer affordable housing to people in key professions such as teachers, doctors, police officers, firefighters and others.

02

jobs and business

Karviná has huge potential in tourism. I want to build its development on Karvinské moře and future bodies of water, the spa, the leaning church and culture. Altogether, up to 1,000 new jobs could be created in tourism. The development of strategic industrial zones using brownfields must also be a given. They'll offer work not only to people who are good with their hands but also to people with secondary and university education.

03

social inclusion

I'll turn a municipal flat in a socially excluded area into a community centre that will help local people. The centre will offer pre-school preparation for children, tutoring, work with parents, debt counselling, housing assistance and community activities.

A few words about me

I studied BSc Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology at Swansea University in the UK. Studying physics taught me to think analytically, look for data instead of impressions and solve problems systematically. Today I work as a data analyst, helping to find effective, fact-based solutions. I'm running in the municipal elections in Karviná because I want to bring liberal values to the council – openness, transparency and a focus on the future instead of nostalgia for the past. Karviná stands at a crossroads: the mines have closed and the question “What next?” is still relevant, and I want to be part of the answer. I believe local politics should be practical, fair and open. That's why after the elections I'll want to work with anyone who shares these values, so that I can deliver concrete results for the people of Karviná.
