Main topics

01

culture

Spaces for locals, not just for tourists: I consider it essential to support the creation and development of cultural and community spaces that primarily serve us, the local residents. A great example was Prádelna. The town must meet such grassroots initiatives halfway, provide them with facilities and help them grow. Space for independent and contemporary culture: The town's cultural offer must not get stuck in the past or be limited to commercial and traditional events. I place great emphasis on genre diversity and want to give the green light to independent, alternative and contemporary culture. Whether it's visual art, club music or independent theatre – I want our town to be open to new ideas and to a varied cultural life where everyone can find something for themselves.

02

environment

Prevention and recycling: I support policies that motivate the town and citizens to reduce mixed waste. We must put emphasis on better sorting, composting and reuse. The goal isn't just to haul waste away and burn it, but to prevent it from arising and return as much as possible into circulation. No to the incinerator in Domoradice: I'm firmly against expanding the burning of so-called TAP in Domoradice. It makes no sense for Český Krumlov – it doesn't solve our local waste and we don't need it for heat or electricity supply either. I fundamentally reject other people's waste being brought here just to be burned.

03

public space

We need more greenery, shade and water features so we don't overheat in summer. I want every construction and renovation to automatically take nature and water retention into account. I care about safety, which is why I support smart traffic calming through the design of the streets themselves. I see our housing estates as barrier-free and easy to get through with prams and for seniors. I want to support modern leisure spaces (pumptrack, skatepark, dog parks) and good, durable street furniture. But I fundamentally insist that all changes around people's homes are always planned together with local residents, not behind their backs.

A few words about me

I'm a student and freelance graphic designer from Český Krumlov. I care about our town, which is why I'm running in the municipal elections for the Nezávislí a Zelení association. Krumlov is a beautiful town, but in the hands of the current leadership it's turning into a foreign backdrop aimed mainly at tourists. Community life is withering and young people are leaving because they don't see their future here. We want to change that. I'd like to help build a confident town that supports local associations, keeps the young generation here and puts residents before mass tourism.
