01

housing

In the so-called Northern Zone, we plan to build up to 1,200 affordable municipal cooperative flats. These flats won't be built for profit, so their price will be lower than that of a regular flat from a developer. What's more, joining the cooperative will be easier both financially and bureaucratically than getting a mortgage.

02

transport

Public transport in Hradec isn't in good shape at the moment. Leaving aside the ticketing system, which is a chapter of its own, the routes need to be redesigned. That's why we'd like to introduce so-called “metrolines” that will serve the trunk routes and run at regular intervals. Not like now, when three services leave a big housing estate at once and you then have to wait 20 minutes for the next one.

03

schools and education

It's important that parents in Hradec don't have to worry about sending their child to their catchment school. Unfortunately, it has already started to happen that some schools are oversubscribed and a lottery has begun to decide who gets into a given school. In practice this meant that a child from outside the catchment area could get into the “better” school, while the pupil who lives around the corner then has to commute elsewhere. Education in general should be a priority; unfortunately, not much happened on that front this term.

A few words about me

I'm the leader of the Piráti a Starostové candidate list in Hradec Králové. I'm running because I care about the direction our city is heading. I'd like Hradec to be a city where young people can find affordable housing and start a family. So that people stop saying Hradec is a dead city. This isn't just talk. Both I and the Hradec Piráti have a good deal of solid work behind us. But we need a stronger mandate to start putting our whole vision into practice! That's why we've joined forces with the STAN movement and presented a candidate list that builds both on young people and on experienced politicians, women and men (which aren't mutually exclusive).

The candidate's texts have been machine-translated from Czech.
