A few words about me
What do I do? Alongside my studies at the Faculty of Law of Univerzita Karlova, I have a year and a half of legal practice behind me at the largest Czech law firm, where I specialised in the public sector and regulation, which means everything connected with running and managing a city – from public procurement and grant programmes to building law. The firm often works with municipalities, regions and the state, so this experience has given me valuable insight that I now want to put to use for the benefit of our city.
Why am I running? In this term Hradec has finally started moving in the right direction. At the same time, though, I see how much still lies ahead of us, and how important it is for the city to keep having competent leadership, a clear vision and the courage to push it through. I want Hradec to become a modern and lively city that knows how to manage its finances, knows how to plan, supports residents and business owners and attracts investors.
I know that young candidates are often viewed with distrust, and honestly, I understand why. Many of them talk about wanting to solve their generation's problems, but rarely offer concrete solutions. I want to show it can be done differently. I don't want to be a “young candidate”, I want to be a good candidate. And that means thinking things through in depth, knowing the city, knowing how to listen and coming up with proposals that make sense. I don't just want to say what the problem is; I want to show how to solve it.
I believe a city can be run with prudence, with respect for people, and above all with results. I want a city that works, a city where life is good, where you can settle down, where you can be at home.
