sport

If you don't specifically want to go running on the oval, there aren't many places to go. I think renovating the multi-purpose court in Klášterní zahrady would be worth it.

culture

Even though culture in Chrudim has moved forward over the last few years, there's still room for improvement. Most of the events that were held were mostly aimed at the older generation, and when the town tried to organise something for young people, it didn't work out. When organising various festivals and events, it would be good to include more programmes for young people and, ideally, to ask young people what they'd be interested in.

A few words about me

My name is Vojta, I'm 18 and I've lived in Chrudim my whole life. I study at the Chrudim grammar school and this year I'm running in the municipal elections from 27th place. I've been around politics practically since I was little and I've always been interested in what's going on around me. Now I've decided to take the next step and run myself. Because I think there should be many more young people in politics — not only as voters, but also as people who get to decide what our town will look like. I've known Chrudim my whole life. I know what I love about our town, but I also see things that could work better. And it's precisely the perspective of young people that, in my view, should be heard more when deciding on the future of Chrudim. After secondary school I want to go on to university. And one day I'd like to come back to Chrudim. That's why I want it to be a town young people won't want to leave, but will want to come back to, to live, work and start families. Both my parents are on the candidate list with me. For me that's all the more of a commitment — to carry on something our family has long believed in, while bringing my own perspective and the energy of my generation. I'm running from 27th place. It may not be the top of the list, but I believe that even from there the voice of young people from Chrudim can be heard. I want Chrudim to be a town we'll want to come back to.
