I care about the development of culture and social life in the town. Litvínov does a perfect job of organising great exhibitions in the Valdštejn Castle, town-wide events and all kinds of big concerts. Personally, I'd like to contribute to developing and supporting the culture that lies beneath the surface of the big events – it's more community-based, but all the more authentic for it. This culture creates a delicate social fabric and makes our town more cohesive and friendly.

I'd like to push for small things to be repaired and try to put the smaller features of the town's public space in order. That could hopefully serve as a good basis for getting a broader discussion going about how to approach our public space conceptually.

A few words about me

I study media studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, and I've completed a degree in the humanities at the same university. During my bachelor's studies I worked in the marketing team of a multinational company trading in technical gases. Now, alongside my studies, I work for Místní akční skupina Naděje, where I coordinate the project Inovativní venkov pro mladé.

Back in secondary school, my friends and I founded an environmental and cultural association in Litvínov, which for several years has been organising many cultural, social, educational and environmental events. Working in the association gave me the impression that these activities benefit Litvínov. In my view, you can recognise a good town by how its citizens get involved in what goes on in it. I'd like to help remove the obstacles in Litvínov that prevent citizens from getting involved, and to create an environment where citizens are partners for the town hall and their activities are a pillar of the town's cultural, social and community life.
