Cycling safely around Krumlov and beyond

Today Moravský Krumlov has a single cycle path, just 1.2 km long. I want to gradually build a safe network of cycle routes that will connect the centre and the outlying parts of town and link up with the surrounding municipalities. It's not just about sport and leisure. A safe bike ride should be a real option for getting to school, to work or to services. We want to start where we can use existing roads and paths and projects already in preparation. Step by step, we'll connect Krumlov better with its surroundings too.

02

More money for Krumlov

Every year Moravský Krumlov pays tens of millions of crowns out of its own budget to cover the state administration it also provides for residents of the surrounding municipalities. I want us to actively push for fairer funding of municipalities with extended powers, so that more money can stay for the development of our town. At the same time, I want the town to manage its finances responsibly, plan investments well and, for big expenditures, always be able to explain to citizens what they will get for their money.

A town hall open to critical opinions too

Municipal media should inform citizens, not just serve the current town leadership. That's why I want to change the rules of Moravskokrumlovské noviny so that different opinions, including critical ones, get fair space in it. An open town hall isn't afraid of criticism, but treats it as a natural part of public debate.

A few words about me

I was born in Moravský Krumlov and I'm a student at the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University. I've been involved in public affairs for several years now. At grammar school, after being elected chair, I got the Student Parliament of Gymnázium Moravský Krumlov up and running. For a year I also headed the Regional Student Assembly of the South Moravian Region, which brings together secondary school students from the whole region. Today I sit on the Environment Committee of the Board of the South Moravian Region and I write specialist texts, mainly on constitutional law. I'm entering local politics because I don't want to just comment on and criticise things around me, but also to take on my share of responsibility. Moravský Krumlov is my home and I care about what it will look like in ten or twenty years. I want it to be a town where all generations live well and which young people don't have to leave just because they'll find better living conditions elsewhere. As the youngest candidate in Moravský Krumlov, I'm definitely not going into the elections feeling that I have an answer to everything. I know I still have a lot to learn. I want to bring my own energy, ideas and experience, but at the same time learn from those who have much more of them. In my free time you'll most often find me on my bike or in the mountains. That's also why one of my main topics is safe cycling and a town where you can live pleasantly and actively.
