Main topics

01

public space

In Roudnice, public space suffers from the town hall's non-transparent and insincere conduct towards the public. Whether it's closing itself off at council meetings that are supposed to be open to the public, not answering questions, absolutely dismal communication or balancing on the edge of the law when deciding on municipal contracts. My biggest goal for the next four years is to improve the town's communication – to make its work on social media more effective, to answer all questions on time, and to communicate news to the public in time so as to avoid the complications we see today.

02

culture

Roudnice has been the cultural centre of the whole Podřipsko region since time immemorial. We're a town with a rich history, the birthplace of great people. But for a long time nobody has given a damn about the town's history and culture, and in some cases they've even been sabotaged. My goal will be to support, in any way possible, people's awareness of what kind of town they live in, and to further develop the currently, within its means, working platform for cultural life in the town.

03

young people

Judging by recent steps, it doesn't look like young people are a priority for the current town leadership, even though it's precisely on them that Roudnice's future success depends. I want to open the town hall to young people and give them space to say what they'd appreciate in the town. The town isn't suffering from a lack of money, but from a lack of young energy.

A few words about me

I'm a twenty-one-year-old IT student who has lived in the Roudnice area my whole life.

Roudnice is home to me – I grew up here and went to primary school here, where I first found out what a literally epic history this town has compared to others.

My long-standing interests, which I'd like to apply at the town hall too, include culture, fighting corruption and transparency. I've been involved in politics for almost two years, and I'm the 2nd vice-chair of our district Pirate association. Last year I co-led the Pirates' regional campaign for the parliamentary elections as a member of the campaign team; we managed to defend the seat, and as it happens it's held by our colleague from the Litoměřice area – Kateřina Stojanová.

In my free time I play guitar, visit Czech historic sites, read and generally consume pop culture.

I dare say that I try to be fairly open, honest and sometimes even stubbornly fair.
