01

safety

I want to increase the sense of safety in the centre of Liberec through a balanced approach that combines a visible municipal police presence, technical measures (a camera system, lighting of high-risk spots) and continued social support for homeless people – including their rehabilitation and return to normal life – so as to reduce the number of conflicts in public space while keeping a dignified approach to the city's most vulnerable residents.

02

jobs and business

I want to support the creation and growth of higher value-added companies in Liberec – whether founded by local entrepreneurs or coming from other cities. The goal is for these companies to stay here for the long term, connect with the Technická univerzita v Liberci and create higher value-added jobs that raise average wages and strengthen the region's economic competitiveness.

03

schools and education

Scouting, associations, student projects and extracurricular activities matter more in a city than is often admitted – they bring young people up to be responsible, self-reliant and active citizens, they help prevent risky behaviour among young people, and at the same time they build community and intergenerational ties that strengthen residents' sense of belonging to Liberec. That's why I want to support these activities systematically through a combination of financial help, access to spaces and closer cooperation with schools.

A few words about me

I'm Matěj Čepelka, a student and Scout leader. I grew up in Liberec, I have a strong bond with it and I want to take an active part in deciding where the city goes next.

I used to be the spokesperson of the Republikové fórum parlamentů dětí a mládeže, and today I lead a Scout troop. Thanks to that I have experience of leading a team, communication and working with people.

I want to bring the voice of the young generation into politics, along with an emphasis on more open communication from the city, modern infrastructure, a safer Liberec, and support for education, innovation and startups.
